By now, you undoubtedly know how much I like one-pot meals. They’re ideal for a quick midweek lunch since they’re quick and simple with no difficult directions.
Of course, using only one pot also means less cleanup, which is something we can all agree on!
With this recipe, frying the onions, garlic, carrot, and celery is the first step. The beef mince is then added, and it is fried till browned.
Bring to a boil the pasta, then add the canned tomatoes, stock, ketchup, and oregano.
After 20 minutes of simmering on the stove, add some parmesan cheese to finish.
The end product is a flavorful spaghetti bolognese dish that the whole family is sure to enjoy.
I add some more grated parmesan and fresh basil to the adults’ portion before serving.
I also include grated cheddar cheese for the youngsters.

Bolognese pasta in one pot
Description

Ingredients
- Oil, 1/2 tbsp
- 1 onion
- Garlic cloves, two
- two carrots.
- one celery stick
- 500g minced beef
- one can of diced tomatoes
- 1 liter of beef broth
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- Oregano, 1/2 tsp.
- penne, dry, 300g
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan
Instructions
- On the stove, warm the oil in a large casserole dish.
- Cook for 3 minutes after adding the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery.
- Fry the beef mince till browned after adding it.
- Bring to a boil the canned tomatoes, beef stock, ketchup, and oregano.
- Pasta should be added, well mixed, and simmered for 20 minutes or until tender.
- To prevent the spaghetti from sticking to one another, stir it every few minutes.
- Mix thoroughly after adding the grated parmesan.
- Serve right away.
Notes
Reheating leftovers in the microwave or on the stove is possible for up to two days if they are stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Additionally, this dish may be frozen. Refrigerator overnight defrost.
