Make a delicious and simple one-pot creamy pasta dish using leftover Christmas turkey and ham!
Christmas leftovers are delicious, but if you don’t want to consume cold meats for many days, try this simple One Pot Creamy Pasta instead. You can make a tasty and substantial supper out of leftover turkey and ham with only a few simple Ingredients.
I’m a huge lover of one-pot meals. They’re easy to prepare and save time and effort in the kitchen, which is always a plus, particularly at this time of year when the pots and pans seem to be endless!
You’ll need a big frying pan with deep sides or a casserole dish like the one I’m using for this recipe.
To begin, sauté some onion and garlic in a little amount of oil.
Combine the milk, chicken stock, and pasta in a large mixing bowl. I’m using parpadelle pasta, but any kind of pasta would do.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low heat for 6 minutes.
Simmer for another 6-8 minutes, until the pasta is done and most of the liquid has been absorbed, before adding the remaining turkey and ham, as well as some frozen peas.
It’s ready to serve after you’ve added some crème fraiche and grated parmesan.
SUBSTITUTIONS FOR Ingredients
I used parpadelle pasta, but any form would do.
I used chicken stock, but you may use vegetable stock instead.
If you can’t find crème fraiche, you may use cream cheese or some cream instead.
If you like, shredded cheddar cheese may be used instead of parmesan.
