I receive a lot of inquiries as a dietitian: Is sugar harmful? (No.) Should I try one of those juice fasts? (Also no.)

But one of the most often asked questions is, “What sorts of snacks should I serve my kids?”

My response is that traditional “fun” foods, such as chips, cookies, and cheese crackers, are perfectly acceptable on occasion.

However, most snacks should resemble the foods you offer at meals, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, meats, beans, cheese, and nuts.

Because if you just give your kid “interesting” treats during snack time, meals–with their plain ol’ ordinary foods–will become unappealing.

Fortunately, The Snack Platter can make that cuisine into something exceptional.

What exactly is a snack platter?

I’ll tell you a little secret: the snack plate is nothing more than food. Served on a platter. My kids, on the other hand, are ecstatic when I say, “I created a snack tray!”

In fact, I overheard my kid bragging to his buddies a few years ago, “My mom prepares the BEST snack platters!”

Sometimes all you need is a brand refresh.
